A professional is simply someone who cares enough about the job to do his or her very best all the time.  It’s a mindset.  You can be a professional lawyer, but you can also be a professional nurse or a professional plumber.  You treat your clients and customers with the utmost respect, you treat colleagues, coworkers and supervisers with decency, and you look and act like a professional.
